FCA Students Prepare Christmas Play
December 4, 2009
The students of Faith Christian Academy (FCA) are putting final touches on their annual school play. This year's presentation is titled The Pirates' Christmas Treasure and features an evening of delightful music and a story set in the spirit of the holiday season.
Students and faculty are presenting the annual holiday event on Tuesday evening, December 15th at 7:00 p.m. The performance is to be given in the Gymnatorium complex of Faith Baptist Church at 1300 Eckford Street in Water Valley.
While the event is free and open to the general public, admission is by ticket only. Free tickets may be obtained in one of three ways: (1) FCA students are distributing tickets in person, (2) tickets are available directly from the church-school office, (3) and complimentary tickets are available in advertisement form inside the December 3 and December 10 editions of The North Mississippi Herald.
"The Pirates' Christmas Treasure provides an evening of delightful holiday entertainment," comments Dr. Bob Hill, the school's administrator. "It also contains a relevant story line which points to things that should be meaningful to us during the holiday season."
"The students are really working hard," says FCA teacher Grace Kerr. "They're putting a whole lot of effort into this. I really appreciate the help from our pianist, Rebekah Hill, and from Mr. Tommy Latham who is helping us with staging and props. They both do such a great job. I hope that many of the people in our community will come out and enjoy this play. It will really add something special to their holiday season."
