
Robert D. Hill

Pastor Hill is a 1973 graduate of Tennessee Temple University in
Chattanooga, Tennessee, and holds a degree in theology and church administration, along
with a minor in music education. While enrolled at the university, he was recognized in
the publication Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 1971-72
for outstanding merit and accomplishment.
Pastor Hill and his wife, Virginia, have ten children, two boys and eight girls. Their oldest son, Bob 3rd, serves as the youth pastor at the First Baptist Church of Matlache, Florida. The Pastors youngest child is a girl of age seven.
Brother Hill served in the pastorate of two previous churches covering a period of fifteen years. His last pastorate was at Calvary Baptist Church of Miamisburg, Ohio, which he founded and where he served for twelve years. While there, he led the church to establish the Calvary Christian School ministry in 1979. He has been actively involved in Christian education since 1973, beginning with four years of teaching immediately following college graduation.
For twelve years, the Hill Family home educated their children. Their five older children have graduated from high school. Their oldest son, Bob, is married and has five children. Their oldest daughter, Grace, is a year 2000 graduate of Tennessee Temple University, where she graduated summa cum laude and with Whos Who recognition. In 2001, she graduated with four year degree in sign language interpretation for the deaf. She is now teaching at Faith Christian Academy in Water Valley, Mississippi, and she interprets church services for the deaf.
The Hill's third child, Gloria, is a 2002 graduate of Tennessee Temple University. She has a degree in piano performance. Currently, Gloria is a graduate assistant at the University of Mississippi where she is working on her master's degree in piano performance. Sarah, the Hill's fourth child is her father's secretary and Deborah is working at a local bank until August, 2003, when she will leave for college. She is looking a a degree in medicine. In December, 2002, Esther graduates from high school. The remaining children are attending Faith Christian Academy.
As a result of a previous background in computer programming and his experience in Christian education, Pastor Hill was invited in 1988 to join the ministry of Accelerated Christian Education (ACE). He was asked to assist in building the ministrys high tech School of Tomorrow program. He held a variety of staff positions, serving as supervisor and then manager of the company's Software Development department. During the 1990-1992 period, he implemented an aggressive computer-based project management system within the ministry. In 1993, he was appointed manager of ACEs high tech Multimedia Division.
In August, 1994, Brother Hill was directed to consolidate all ACE development departments into a comprehensive Product Development Division. He served as General Manager of the division, which consisted of seven major departments: Audio-Video, Computer Graphics, Instructional Design, Editorial, Software Development, Writing, and Project Management. In September, 1995, Brother Hill was appointed Vice President over the Product Development Division, a position he enjoyed until accepting the pastorate of Faith Baptist Church in Water Valley.

Pastor Hill began his ministry at Faith Baptist Church on Sunday, July 9, 2000. Special services were planned for the day, including an afternoon covered dish supper to welcome he and his family. Faith Baptist Church is located at 1300 Eckford Street in Water Valley, one block off of Central Street. The public is cordially invited to attend all of the services of the church.
