Lynn Potts – Teen Boys' Class
During my early teenage years, I was invited to attend church with some of my friends.
They were excited about a youth group at one of their fellowships. While I was there,
there was singing and testimony of what Christ had done in their lives, and I realized
that they had a joy and love for God I knew nothing about.
I began attending church, and as I heard the Bible preached the Holy Spirit began to
convict me about my lost condition and sins in my life. One Sunday evening as the
preacher spoke about the love of God and how Jesus died, was buried, and arose
from the grave; the Holy Spirit helped me to see that all Jesus did was for me in order
to save my soul. I repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into my heart. From
that day forward, I have never been the same.
I began to sing with the youth group and the songs had a new meaning. The messages
I heard began to teach me of my need for a personal Bible study and prayer time with
the Lord. My relationship with the Lord has gotten stronger and sweeter each day. I
have found that when I am weak He is strong.
My goal in life is for others to see Jesus in me¾ in my
actions, attitude, walk, and
conversation. Jesus said in John 12:32, "If I be lifted up from the earth, I will
draw all
men unto me." To lift up Jesus so that others can see what He has done for them, that
they may come to know Him as their personal Saviour, is my prayer for my life.
Virginia Hill – Adult Ladies’ Class
I had the privilege of being raised by Godly parents. Both my mother and father loved
and served the Lord throughout my growing years. Now I am thankful for their example.
My mother is the best example of a Godly woman for me. In the past, I have taught a
Ladies’ Sunday School class, led a women’s Bible study group, been a
Deacon’s wife,
conducted a woman’s retreat, organized women’s fellowship times, and now have
the
privilege of being a Pastor’s wife again. I enjoy teaching and especially helping
ladies
understand God’s Word and His will for their lives. My desire is to help each lady in
our church to become that woman of faith God wants them to become and be a blessing
to others. The ladies Sunday School class is not my class it is our Sunday School class.
Joe Potts - Auditorium Class
The Auditorium Class is open to everyone; especially to those are visiting for the
first time.
Bro. Potts is an enjoyable teacher whose class is a fine place to enter the Sunday School
program of Faith Baptist Church. After a time, members of the Auditorium Class
usually
relocate to other classes based on common interests, but their are those who select to
stay
with the Auditorium Class just to learn from Bro. Potts' gentle and easy to understand
approach.
Mrs. Kim Bell – Teen Girls’ Class
I came to know the Lord at the age of sixteen during a revival service at Faith Baptist
Church. As the evangelist preached, the Holy spirit stirred my heart and prompted me to
ask the Lord into my life to save me.
After many years of church attendance, I began a serious study of my Bible that led me
to
full assurance of my salvation and joy of that salvation. This experience taught me that
not
only should people be won to the Lord, they also should be discipled in the Lord. After
all,
the Bible teaches us that we should "…Be holy, for I am holy" (I Peter
1:16). People should
learn that wonderful truths in God’s Word that affirm and reaffirm what He did for us
and
that because of what He did we are children of a Holy God.
My prayer is that my Sunday School presentations will in some way clarify the message
God
has for both the lost and the saved.

Sarah Hill – Junior High Girls' Class
I was saved in April of 1985, when I was five and then confirmed my faith in 1997. I
have
enjoyed working with children for several years. I hope our class will be a fun place to
learn
about God.
